I can get 6 cans of 5% heinken for 10 euro in the Ice Box in Charlestown, Dublin 11 - but we only like the 4.3% ones. Are you getting the 4.3% ones in your offy?

Tesco are doing 15 cans of 440ml cans of Carlsberg export for €15.

Slightly more expensive than the above (30c a litre) but it 5%. And it's Carlsberg ;-)

    24 cans for €30 = €1.25 a can

    6 cans for €10.50 = €1.75 a can

Is it not you being ripped off?

very cheap considering you pay €4.75 a can in the Pub

But if you weigh up the amount of cans you would go trough at home & the damage to the Liver. think this Bargain should come with a health warning Lol

It's about 2 squids a can anywhere I've ever been... dunnes, supervalu, superquinn, small off licenses. I should know cos I buy 6 cans of it once a week at least.

    Good work op

Ive been waiting and waiting for a deal on any Weiss bier, but its seems like they are never on offer, is this the case?

I bought a 500ml bottle in Tesco yesterday, can't remembe the name but it ended in 'aner' and it wasn't paulaner..was lovely but cost over 2.50/bottle...too expensive.

by the way, any1 enlighten me as to the difference between a 'Weissbier' and a 'heffe Weissbier'?

    Thanks.

The heffe has the yeast residue still in it - white layer at the bottom of the bottle, cloudy in the glass. Weissbier without the heffe will be clear like a larger.

Ah I see, its the Heffe Weissbier that I like so.

I assume Hoegaarden would be a Heffe then yeah? It just says 'biere blanche' on the label.

This is the beer I got in Tesco yesterday..its really really...really nice!

Well Hefe is the German for yeast so you'll not see that on a Belgian beer, 'biere blanche' is just 'white beer' in cheese eating surrender monkey speak. But yeah Hoegaarden would be a Hefe of sorts.

Nope,Im not being ripped off.I merely pointed out the fact that OP buying a slab for 47 euro was being ripped off as I my local offy ALWAYS does six cans at 10.50

I also pointed out the fact that 30 was a great bargain,so,please , before you try to be smart read the whole thread.

Heinken is nicer out of a bottle in fairness.

Are you sure you're not getting the horrible 3.8% Carlsberg. Oh I've made that mistake before! :(
