Does anyone know if the PADI Instructor Qualification in teaching EFR F/Aid is recognized in Ireland? It only seems to be used in diving circles can it be taught and certified to non-diving types.

I'm pretty sure it is. It's run to international standards by a separate company to PADI (EFR). The Medic Firstaid was AFAIR.

there are no prerequsites for the EFR, i.e. you don't have to be a diver to partake in the course.

How a First aid course becomes recognised, I lnow what you mean but I havn't a clue who would recognise it!

If you are talking about instructing outside of the diving circle then I believe you would have to be registered with:

first.

They have only just begun to recognise courses done by dive organisations
