I had a bloke call to the door last night selling Vodafone at home land-line and broadband. He said that Vodafone are in talks with sky at the minute and it looks like in the new year end of January he reckoned that sky will be launching a package similar to UPC with phone tv and broadband.

Has anyone else heard this sounds too good to be true to me but hey fingers crossed i figured i would ask you guys cause if anyone knows yous do.

    Thanks

Nothing interesting here, Sky have often partnered with other ADSL companies like BT and Eircom in the past.

You don't end up getting anything extra or cheaper, they just allow you to sign up for each others products and cross promote.

It won't be anywhere as cheap or convenient as UPC.

Perhaps Sky will rebrand Vodafones BB and allow you to pay for it all in one bill, which would be slightly more convenient, but nothing like Sky's proper cheap BB they have in the UK.

yes im sure we will never get it as cheap as the uk but if they do team up and it means one bill instead of 2 it might save a few quid and make life a bit easier!
