Where are the trucks gone? Is it because of Dorans Pit/Hudsons doing less business?

Well presumably they're all doing less business because of the downturn in the construction industry. But I know that our cars are not as dirty and dripping sand on our driveway this winter yet and of course their absence on the N81 is noticeable.

    It's an ill wind......

    What do you mean?

    What do you mean?

    The full saying is....

It's an ill wind that blows no good.

This is said when things have gone wrong; the idea being that when bad things happen, there can also be some positive results.

Bad thing: Recession (less trucks travelling from quarries to building sites).

Good thing: Cleaner roads (Less trucks spilling some of their cargo on the N81).
