Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Ive had broadband with NTL for about 4 years for my wired PC, then decided to get a wireless router with them for my laptop.

The wireless router is wired through the main wired PC if that makes sense but the problem is when the router is on its the noisiest thing ever!!! I dont know how to explain the noise its like you can hear electricity or something. The coverage was poor for my laptop most of the time. It would either drop signal or be very slow.

It was underneath a desk on top of my computer but I read its not suppose to be on something metal so i put up on top of my desk. The noise of it is even louder now and its doing my head in!!

Have others experienced this? Any solution!!??

Does this noise only start when you turn on the wireless option on your router?

Ye its definitely from the wireless router cause if I unplug it the sound is gone

Sounds like maybe the router is faulty ?

Are you sure the noise isn't coming from the power adapter?

ya there is defiantly an issue with the router. my wireless router is totally quiet. does not make a sound.

    what model is it?

Noise is definitely from router just double checked and the model is Netgear WGR614 v6

Could this one be faulty as well? Any router Ive been given by NTL have made this noise, this one seems to be more loud though.
