I was wondering if it's necessary to register as a sole trader if you are providing multiple services that are not connected, or does one registration do for all the businesses/services that you run from then on?

    Thanks

I would think you would need to register them individually if they are unrelated, also in terms of getting a domain etc for a website you wont get the .ie if you are using an unrelated business name so for that alone it would be recommened to register each of them.

If you are a sole trader running 100s of different businesses you are still the one entity. You can register different business names/bank accounts for each business, but you don't have too. Tax will all be done as the one sole trader.

Interesting. I registered as a sole trader several years ago for one venture. I registered a business name (to get a .ie domain) too. If I offer different services from now on under the same sole trader registration, will there be any complications with that old business name appearing under my current services. (from the customers perspective).

Only if you trade each service under different names
