All the Sony Bravia's have a digital MPEG4 tuner except the entry level 'S' series. So avoid the S Series.....

The p series in sony dont have Mpeg4 either. What i meant to the OP was which ever brand or name of tv he buys make sure it has mpeg4.

How about a 47" LCD ? Specically the LG LF7700 series.

DVB-S/DVB-T - works with Irish DTT. It is Full HD and ALSO has a built in Freesat menu (red button etc - full epg rather than now next). Its a bargain at £599 STG at the moment for the 47" (£300 OFF).

If you go over to the Richer Sounds part of this forum they will ship it from NI to the Phillips Shop in Dublin at minimal cost.

Also comes in 32 37 and 42 Iinch LCD - so will be cheaper again.

    Given the current EUR/GBP exchange rate I recently bought a high-end 40"
at a price including delivery (2 days) significantly lower than I could find online or in bricksNmortar stores in Ireland. So might be worth a look...
For a further discount e.g, GBP150 in my case, you could get a "Box Opened TVs" version.
