Satellite and terrestrial down one cable

I have a problem with the skybox as follows.
When connecting satellite box and terrestrial aerial connections to the wallbox, the satllite pictures are lost.
In the loft I have the lnb and terrestrial aerial connected to a (power pass combiner) down one cable to the wallbox downstairs. The satellite works if the aerial connection is disconnected from the wallbox but when reconnected the satellite box states no signal.
I have replaced the power pass combiner and checked all the coonections but it still occurs. Could it be the lnb?

Are you sure the wall box is a diplexing type and are you using a sat/uhf combiner in the attic?

Yes both are correct, it used to work okay you see, that is why I thought it could be the lnb. It could be the diplex wallbox also i suppose.

I see, well if its the lnb then it will not work ok on its own. Does the aerial work ok on its own? If so it points the finger at either diplexer or cable problem.

Do you have a mast head amplifier on the aerial?
