Finn Harps v Shelbourne 2/11/09 20.00

Finn Harps are home tonight against Shels subject to a one o clock inspection.

Weather is horrendous up in the North West at the moment and with UCD wrapping up the First Division at the weekend, Shelbourne are already guaranteed a play off spot. They may lack any motivation after a long journey on a cold November night with nothing to play for.

Harps are notoriously hard to beat in Finn Park and are 11/2 to win with Bet365.

    Match is defo on.

We still need to win both our matches in order to get home advantage over Fingal in the play-off (not that it would matter).

Do you think Shels will be really pushed tonight? Cant see them getting too fired up for it after the 5-4 defeat last week. Ballybofey sometimes can be a nightmare to go to but Harps are admittedly poor at the moment.

Still feel its worth a punt at 11/2.

They better be poxy pushed tonight, I don't plan on travelling the guts of a 8-9 hour round trip, €25 on the bus, €10 for a match ticket, €3 for a progamme and standing on a crappy terrace in the backarse of Donegal.

I'd say they'll be going for it, they need to bulid up form and get back to winning ways and we need to get Fingal at home which requires most likely 2 wins from 2. Kildare on Saturday will be the dodgy match and I can see Keely resting some of the first teamers for the play off on Tuesday.

On that note, off to Tolka to get the bus to Donegal.

    ;) Might see you there!

Can offer a lift back to Donegal Town if you want.

3-1 Shels. Cant get over how poor Harps were. No excuses though!

Hope you didn't put money on that.:D One of our worst away attendences in a long time, but I suppose Monday night is a tough oul job and the fact the weather is shocking up there (even took my banner down at half time from the fence at the the back of the terrace). Lack of stewards was great, cans and pints on the terrace.:D

Yeah, I noticed the cans sitting on the wall in the second half. Comical stuff. Some odd chants.........but great finishes for the second and third goals.

Anyone who turned up last night was LOI hardcore and should get complimentary tickets for Ireland v France! ;)

Which chants? "We're only here for the gravel" was my personal favourite. Ppppppffffff I'd prefer a bucket of paint and watch that than a ticket to Croker.;)

I was disappointed to not find any gravel, have travelled solely for it. :(

The one home Harps game I missed this season and missed a cracker. Thought Harps could have won but we can't be shifted from our position so I don't know how pushed they would have been.

    Promotion next year! :D
