Selling a business

Hey there - I set up an ecommerce site a while ago to sell accessories for iPod and iPhone. I invested in developing the brand, building the site and bringing in stock but just dont have the time to give it the focus it needs to be really successful. Was thinking of offloading it to someone either in total as a going concern or just the stock (if they run a similar site themselves already). Just wondering if anyone could advise on where I might advertise?

    Thanks a mill - SM

Mod - Just wanted you to be aware that I'm not selling here - I know that's against the rules and was just looking for advice on where I might actually advertise it.

    Hi Scotty,

If the business is proftable then it might be possible to sell it as a going concern which would get you more than just the value of stock. Depending on how well your site is doing and what it can realistically achieve in the hands of a new owner you may be able to get some or all of your development costs back as the new owner would have a turnkey business day one and would save him/herself the cost, time and hassle factor of setting up something themselves. Forget about silly dotbomb valuations though, those days are long gone!!

This is my first post on here so I'm not sure if you can PM me or not. If you can please feel free to do so, I'd be happy to have a chat with you and discuss your options without any cost or obligation to you.

    Regards,
