JSB and Bank holidays

Hi,
Im a bit confused. I am on a 3 day week (24hrs a wk) and have applyed for JSB but havent started getting payments yet. There has been two bank holidays since i have gone to 3day week.

Will i get payed for a bank holiday trough the JSB or should my employer be paying me that extra day each week there is a bank holiday.

I normaly work tuesday,wednesday and thursday so the mondays that the bank holidays fall on i wouldnt be working anyway.

Can anyone set me right?

I think your employer should pay you and you should only work 2 other days or you'll be over your 3 days for that week. On your slips to social welfare, you should mark the bank holiday as HP for holiday paid but I guess you havn't done this.

No i just marked them days with a X saying that i am not working on those days. But will Social welfare pay me for that day? O have a lost out on my bank holiday pay?

I'd say you'll be paid by social welfare alright cause they surely would have queried it with you or your employer by now.

If your employer pays you aswel, you'll have a nice bonus

you should be paid an extra 3/5ths of a day for the bank holidayas you work 3/5ths of a week

you will also get 3 days js
