    Hey,

just wondering does anyone have an Allen an Heath Zed r16 and how is it working out for you? Im really thinking of upgrading my Onyx 1640 for one of these rather than the new Onyx 1640i which also looks quite impressive. Its mostly going to be for recording but will be doing a few live gigs.

When recording in 96khz 24bit there is no option of a main mix return just 16x16 wheras 48/16 has 18x18. Would you think of that as a downfall or just route main mix back to 2 channels instead maybe?

Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

    Record at 44 or 48/16.
Very few pros even record at 96. It doubles disk space and halves processing power for little to no gain in sound quality.
Also look at the Yamaha n series too.
