    Hi lads!!

Just wana know whats your personal review of the g25 steering wheel

Im really intrested in it because you get the clutch and gear stick!! :D

Is it worth while paying that amount of money or is there as much enjoyment as say the GT Logitech steering wheel??

I can't compare or anything but my understanding is that the G25 will also work on a PC, which is an added bonus.

As Steering Wheels go, the G25 is probably the best you can get for a console or PC. It's USB, and works with PC, PS2 and PS3, and is main powered for superb feedback and resistance.

It's main problem is it's size and weight. You'll need a dedicate area to set it up - the "laptop table" I used to use it on just was not enough. I found it better on the PC than the PS3 - though this is probably due to the fact the PC is on it's own dedicated "bench" and , thus, was able to handle it.

As for the separate gearbox - it's nice and is separate from the wheel, which requires more room. But the wheel has two "flappy panels", so it doesn't get much use.

Gameswise, it's a perfect fit with Gran Turismo: Prologue, but didn't work well (or at all) with others I tried (GTA IV and Burnout: Paradise).

Summary - great wheel, but you'll need space and a dedicated table/bench/driving frame.

I have one myself and find it excellent. But as Niska said it is heavy and the feedback motors are very strong so you really do need a very sturdy place to set it up to get full enjoyment out of it.
One of my next purchases is going to have to be a playseat to go with the wheel, they are ment to be excellent.

On a side note the G27 is out now, not too sure if it is replacing the G25 or if they are running side by side.

I can't comment on the G25, but I did purchase the logitech driving force gt and find this to be a great wheel. For the price I think it's amazing, force feedback is excellent. If you have the money and are addicted to racing games then maybe the G25/27 is the wheel for you, but if you only play racing games occasionally then the driving force gt is a great buy. As for an area for your setup, I purchased the wheel stand pro, and it's the best thing for any wheel. They do one for the G25 also.

These stands are rock solid and I've never had any issues with pedals sliding or the stand rocking while steering.

I don't suppose it works for 360 too does it?

It does require a different column for the xbox wheel. But they've recently added a new option on their website where you can buy the stand for the logitech wheels and also an additional column for the xbox wheel.

Sorry Bombleswizzum: just reread your post, I thought you were asking about the whhel stand for the 360. The logitech wheels don't work on the 360's unfortunately. MS like to keep the peripherals market to themselves.

Ordered the Wheelstandpro last week and it arrived today. Excellent piece of kit - the G25 is very solid now. Only downside is that there are no racing games on my "to play" list at the moment...

Does it stand up well to furious:D:D steering, it just looks like it could rock from side to side a bit under heavy steering?
    Really tempted to get one.

Nope - hardly any rocking at all. Part of the reason is that your feet act as extra ballast as they're on the pedals. Surprisingly sturdy, in fact.
