    Hello.

Are Gardai allowed to search people under 16 without a parent or Guardian present, and without a warrant?

    Thanks.

Why, what do you think the parent or Guardian are going to do about it. Think about it, kid has a knife gardai standing around waiting for the child’s guardian to come down, and in the meantime the kid stabs four of the gardai.

The gardai should be allowed to slap parents or guardians whose child or ward are in a place or situation where the gardai want to search them

To broaden the question, what powers of search do the Gardaí have?

Use the search function before posting this type of question or if your worried about a valid charge get a solicitor.

There are countless threads dealing with this, I mean countless.
