Hi, I will be applying for my driving test this week as my 6 months are up. I was told if I can get an employers letter it will speed up getting my test date. I have someone that will write me a letter but they want to know what has to be included in it and what to write down.
    Advice needed!
    Thanks.

Just get you boss to say that your job requires you the have a full licence that the insurance is too high.

Your boss should know what to say.

State that having a Driving Licence will enable you to carry out duties that you are currently unable to do or that having a Driving licence will greatly enhance your prospects of promotion.

The letter should be on headed note paper and stamped and signed by your employer or a representative of your employer.

Bear in mind that half the country will be doing likewise so it might not be that much of an advantage.

Adding that you are willing to be tested at very short notice may be more benificial.

You could have applied much sooner than this week. The regulation state that you must have held the Permit for 6 months on the day of the test but you may apply anytime. ;)
