I'm heading over to the big apple soon and just wondering if any of you fine upstanding citizens have been to an of the apple stores in NYC?

Is it possible to buy a refurbed macbook in store or do they just sell new stuff?

And also, which store in Manhattan is the biggest/best?

    cheers.

refurbs are only available by applestore online. I've been to two of the applestores in manhattan. but regent st in london is by far the best I've ever seen.

I've found 3 of them last weekend.

The glass cube at the SE corner of Central park is one, there is another on Prince St (a block or two west from the subway station), and passed another in Chelsea direction.

All were very busy, but went in to the CP one after dinner and beers one evening which was cool.

Depending on what you are looking to buy they generally have it there, no magic mouse in stock for me though.:(

I spent about 3 hours in there using the free internet until 4am when I left to sleep in a car.

    You're right, I didn't know that. I think I'll be paying it a visit.

The 5th Ave. store is amazing. A must see. Very very busy during the day! The mornings or late evenings are the best times to visit.

The store in SoHo often has live music from big bands, check the Apple website for events.

The third store is on West 14th st. but i have never been!

There is another store opening on Broadway soon, near times square i think! Not too sure when though!

If you book online before you go you can get one to one help at the genius bar in either Prince Street or Central Park. Check them out on their websites. The one on Prince street is the Soho store and the one near Central Park is the 5th Ave store....enjoy!
