Are premises locked when a company goes bust?

I was passing yet another business that suddenly closed today (a centra/spar style of shop)

As we all know businesses try and keep their difficulties secret, so when one does close its always a shock, i.e. "sure I was only in there yesterday and the place looked normal"

Made me wonder, In Ireland when a company goes bust what happens if a worker has left stuff in his desk drawer? If the debts are large enough does the Sheriff lock the doors and employ a security company.

I suppose it must be done, otherwise whats to stop an owner selling equiptment for cash on the black market, and depriving creditors even further.
