ok, now apologies if this isn't quite going along with the charter (but I hope it is), am really looking for general info but also obviously pertaining to my own situation

as a health care professional who in 2008 did

    1. some locum work with a number of hospitals in 2008 (all through agencies, who deducted 20% witholding tax each time - total gross income from those earnings - ballpark 10k)

    2. some short term PAYE contracted work (was on the payroll) - again income approx 10-12k in the same year

I did no further work in Ireland from mid July 2008 until the end of the year, moved to UK and stayed there for the year, not bringing any UK earnings back into Ireland

question: do I need to fill in Form 11 or Form 11E (I know it's late but if I get it in the post today better than never) ?

have spent quite a bit of the day trying to get through to a human person in Revenue to enquire but having no luck

Dont think it really matters whether you file the form 11 or 11E.
Either will be accepted by the revenue.
As long as the return is received by the revenue on Monday morning, it will still be deemed as filed on time.
