I was watching some of the 50 Gaelic Football goals. I was surprised that Kevin Foley's goal from 1991 against Dublin got number 1. It was significant, but not a great goal in itself. There were more significant, namely Seamus Darby's goal in 1982, and ones of better quality, like Owen Mulligan's goal in 2005. It'll be interesting to see what they pick for the Hurling goals, starting at 4:10pm.

Interesting, as we were discussing it at lunch today, but nobody had seen the programme, and I said "I bet its that goal the Meath fella (Foley) scored against Dublin, it was a cracker !" :p

BTW, The hurling no. 1 goal was by JB Murphy, ie. 'the flick'.
No. 2 was Fenton's magnificent ground stroke from the next parish, legend has it that the ball is still travelling out in the Atlantic eeek !!

I am currently looking @ www.tg4.tv for the programme but can't find it, there are others there but not this one, bummer !

Would have been nice to include some of the minority GAA sports. But I suppose if the GAA doesn't care about them, why should TG4.

It really is impossible to please everyone.

In just 1 day TG4 outdone both RTE and TV3 combined for the year with regards the quality of their GAA coverage
