cant get bbc & itv channels on lidl sat.

    hi folks hope you can help,I have set up the lidl sl65 satellite system and can only get scuzz,babestation,etc but no bbc/itv channels am I pointin at right satellite,based in waterford just wondering if i'm close to get astra 28.2 ?

    Yes, you're close, that is the right satellite. Slight tweaks will bring the rest in. Possibly all that's needed is for you to skew (rotate) the LNB to the correct degree (trial and error: as you look at the back of the LNB, you need to rotate it clockwise).

    Those channels are on Eurobird 28.5, so might need a bit more of a tweak to get 28.2. Are you using a small dish? You might have some problems pulling in both 28.2 and 28.5 on a small dish (like a 45cm). But try the LNB skew first.

    Hi Delete all channels you have and retune for free channels on Astra 28 those lidl/aldi boxes come half Ars**d programmed. Also the Lidl/aldi boxes need to be retuned regurarly.There is a thread especially for the Lidl/Aldi system http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055570579

    Cheers folks I'll give it a go tomorrow,thanks for the help,I'm a newcomer to all this was delighted being able to pick up anything,it's the first foray into the satellite tv world,as all I was using was the included high pitched sound monitor.
