I'll be there Friday/Saturday (probably not full day Saturday).

Friday's pricey :( Might be worth it if less crowded though

Been twice before, probably one of the best car shows I've been to.

Charge those camera batteries and bring extra film/cards, you will not
believe the amount of stuff you will see there!

Heard great things about the motorsport one too, one of these days.....

Ryanair,Shannon to Birmingham.Booked ages ago,so cant rem what it cost, think it was round 150 for two of us.Hotel a bit more, poss 180 for two nights. Its worth it,a hell of a show, basically classic car heaven.

    You wont be Dissapointed.:)

Aer Lingus on the way out, Ryanair back, cost around 150 for two in total but we booked last May. Hotels aren't cheap but if you're hardy, you can do the whole thing in a day - there's always next year if you miss anything.

The worst part is resisting temptation when you see all kinds of stuff that you'd love to buy but can't bring on a plane. Then there's the cars.....

Made this last year, pity I won't make it this time. Wheeler Dealers was a bit of fun, Mike Brewer and me old Edd China plate kept us entertained when you need a sit down during the day. A great day out.

You can fly out and back from Cork in the one day for 143 euros. 200 would do you for the day for flights and grub providing you don't buy anything at the show but you probably will.:)

NEC is directly beside Birmhingham airport. You get a shuttle takes about 5 minutes.

Yep,this is pretty cool,if you can fly in and out in the day it makes it much easier.

£23 entry per adult on Friday.(Surely a bit steep in these times) Lets never complain about having to pay into a show in Ireland again.
Mind you it should be worth every penny and quite enough on the Friday.

Can't say exactly how much we paid last year but it was in the region of £50 a head, slightly less IIRC correctly which covered us from Fri - Sun to include TG Live (low-light of the whole show) which I thought was extremely good value considering TG alone cost €100 here last Dec and was pretty poor IMO. Friday is great at the NEC show coz it's pretty much real enthusiasts and press, not people there just to pass the time. Plenty of space to move around, plenty of time to talk to exhibitors, etc. Try Sunday at cq. 2pm - Madness I tell ya! We stayed in the Novotel which is like 2 mins walk from the airport, shuttle (3mins) in and out from gig. Biggest and best show I've ever seen and great value for money. Something for everyone there, no matter what you like. 5 Stars from me!
