    Hi,

My boyfriend is a big rugby fan, but we gots no money so he never goes to see a game! And I'm totally clueless...

I have a voucher for ticketmaster so was thinkin of gettin him tickets to see a game.

He'd be a Leinster supporter, so I was thinking of gettin him tickets to either Leinster v Scarlets, Leinster v Ulster or I could get Heineken Cup Final tickets... I'm thinkin the Heineken Cup would be best but it's not on until May and his birthday is in November, also I can only afford the second cheapest ones... does that matter?

What do all you rugby fans reckon? What would you prefer?

    Thanks a million everyone :)

Heineken Cup Final's in Paris this year I think?

Paris is a very good place to bring whoever you're going out with.

Is it? Sugar. The ticketmaster website has it listed in Dublin. Although, now that I've double checked, it's listed as being in the Stade de France, Dublin Ireland. Shoulda known!

No, I won't be bringin him to Paris! (I'm a student).

So, what do you think, Leinster v Scarlets, or Leinster v Ulster or would either of those games actually be worth going to?

Man, I really have no idea. Cant start takin an interest now or he'll definitely know something is up!

Personally I'd think it would probably be a better experience against one of the other domestic provinces, eg Ulster or Munster than against a Welsh or Scottish side, but any Heineken Cup tickets would be good, eg Brive or Llanelli at the RDS. There is just likelier to be a better crowd, atmosphere at those games.

Get him tickets for the Ulster game. It's on December 26th so it'll make a nice Christmas present!

    Its a toughie...

Provincial matches are always brilliant, and there'll be a great atmosphere as Leinster will be out for revenge after the last match. But then again, the Heineken Cup match against Scarlets is going to be a huge match as well.

Tbh, if I were him I'd be really happy with either, both are big games. I'd go with whichever one suits dates and time wise.

I presume it says on Ticketmaster "Stade de France, Dublin Ireland" because they know that's where the cup is going to end up again :p

+1 for the Ulster match. St.Stephens day at the RDS with a few pints watching a Rugby match, pure class!

ye the scarlets match is a hell of a lot more important as a game, but bring him to the ulster match as that should have a better atmosphere. However as the Ulster match is on the 26th of December public transport if you are depending on it to get to the game maybe a bit of a disaster as timetable will be very limited so the scarlets maybe an much easier game to get to

And make sure he has no plans for Stephens day, or at least give them to him in advance of Christmas ;)
