Why does the Sky Ireland sub not include BBC4, ITV4 etc

    Sky wont pay for them is my guess. ITV4 was there for a short time with ITV3 but they were removed.

    I could be wrong about all of this, but here is my understanding.

    In the case of BBC3 and BBC4, it's apparently because SKY won't pay the BBC for the right to use their program guide listings. (This implies that they currently pay them for the right to use BBC1 & BBC2 listings.)

    In the case of the ITV channels, I believe it's got to do with objections from TV3.

    you can get these channels on sky in ireland... but you have to add the channels through the menu

    You can get them on satellite. I don't consider anything tuned into Other Channels to be a part of the Sky package. They would have to be on the EPG so they can be rocrded with Sky+. All my opinion of course.
