Please advise:Unsure if my apartment would see the satellite in space from balcony

I was thinking of getting Sky installed into a new apartment that I plan on moving into. I probably won't be moving into the 7th November or so. Would I need to order it now to have it ready for then?

Also there are no dishes on the outside of the complex but I do have a balcony on the 2nd floor that I think would have a view to the satellite in space. I have attached a picture from Google Earth as I am unsure of how this works but I did read before that it points 28deg E. The photo I have attached shows the outline of where the balcony is beside the red dot. I have the angle shown on google earth. Does anyone think this would work? The apartment is located in Dublin if that makes a difference?

Our property management company has taken down 5 "illegal" sat dishes from our complex last week.

Some apartment complexes are very strict about this. So maybe make sure there are no rules about sat dishes.

You have a better chance of getting sky quickly if you go straight to a local installer. Ringing sky direct usually takes much longer.

Your Balcony should be facing Roughly towards the Dublin Mountains to get any signal. Some apartment complexes in Dublin have communal sky systems in place where you can connect to the system without a dish. If you can let us know which apartment complex you are in I can let you know if it's set up for sky.

If you can get hold of a compass, aim it south and astra 2(where sky is tramsimitted from) is at 28 degrees east of south. Elevation is between 20-25 degrees.

So basically that is 152 deg, I thought for some reason that it would be 118deg. Can someone confirm which is correct?

From Dublin it's approximately 140 degrees azimuth. The Astra 2 satellite cluster is located over the 28 degree line of longitude at the equator, so from 6 degrees west at 53 North (Dublin) it's approximately South East. If you can see the Sun from your apartment balcony at approximately 9.30 - 10.00am the satellite cluster is just a bit higher in elevation.

Thanks johnmac, but you've brought in science to sort the argument:D

I was kinda hoping that after I pointed out that the satellite was over the 28 degree meridian and that Dublin was at 6 degrees West that mcwhirter would re-examine his initial conclusion that 152 was the answer just because 180-28 = 152.
