Hi I (my office) have a Brother 4040cn laser printer. It needs ink soon. What is my best(cheapest but still good quality) option

    A
New cartridges: takes 4 (3 colour 1 black). What are reconditioned like, are there generic brands, who should I buy off?

    B

Refill: Do it my self or take to refill store

    C
Buy a new printer because it is as cheap

    Thanks

Just installed black ink for my Epson sx105 from inkjet.ie. A complete waste of time. Even though the cartridges look like the real deal, the quality of the printout is barely readable. Avoid.

    A) I used this crowd https://www.inkmaestro.ie/, got a 'compatible' cartridge for a HP Colour laserjet.
    Works fine.

    B) Not sure how easy / straightforward it is to re-fill laser toner, it's not the same as refilling an inkjet cartridge.

    C) When you buy a cheap laser printer, the cartridges are only partially full (Generally 25% I think).

Run the cartridge cleaning thingy (if there is one, otherwise print out a picture with a 3" square of solid black).

Then run the cartridge alignment thingy.

Did both already. No joy. It was printing perfect with the epson brand ink just before I changed....so not a printer issue. Thanks anyway.

Besides..OP is looking for advice on a laser. I've gone off topic with the inkjet stuff.

ive never had luck with refill services. ive pretty much come to loathe ink altogether.

Anyway if its a laser doesnt it take toner? Not ink.
