Candle wax or soap..

I can use either candle wax or soap to help drawers slide more easily, which has the longest lasting effect?
Neither drawers nor runners are wood, the runners are those plastic screw-in things, and the drawers are typical coated mdf, I'd guess.

I have both wax and soap at the ready, just need to know which will do the best job.
    Thanks!

I've always used candle wax personally as it doesn't affect MDF
