    Does anyone know if I need planning to build a well house?It will be to the front of my house

    If you are referring to what is commonly called a pump house, it does not have to be built in front of the house and it could be an exempted development under Class 3 of Part 1 of the Second schedule provided it complies with the rest of the provisions.

    If you are talking about a house over the well head itself as part of a vertical geothermal heating system then it is exempted under Class 2 of Part 1 of the Second schedule.

    Otherwise there is no need for a house directly over the well.

    Sorry i dont think i explained my situation very well. the pump house is already built and is located to the front of the dwelling. By reference to Class3, Part 1 it is not exempted dev and I do need planning....correct?

    This means it is not exempted development.
