The franchise holder didn't renew with McDonalds because it was too expensive to buy their ingredients with the collapse of the krona, so they're rebranding the stores to something more local.

I doubt it'll be pulling out of Ireland anytime soon. With the same currency, there's no fluctuation and not to mention the hoards of fat people who will go to war if needed to get their Mcdonalds fix

I can't see this being successful, many large companies are refusing to work through Iceland because the distance takes an extra 13 nanoseconds. Considering they do billions of transactions everyday, it all builds up

If your economy can't support dirt-cheap, basic fast food, then you know you're properly in the ****ter.

No it couldn't happen in Ireland because we're not even remotely near that point.

"And the scumbags with their trousers tucked into their socks, who just replaced someones tyres with blocks were just passing by.

And the obese men and women who were craving some food to perk up their mood were just passing by.

And the people on boards who are tempted to post love their Big Mac's the most were just passing by.

..... and then Terry came and locked the thread"

I'm not sure it's a good thing when a restaurant pulls out of a country saying they can't afford the price of onions!
