    Hi,

I have keratconus and need to get corneal cross linking done on one of my eyes. This is a similar treatment to laser eye surgery. It is done in the Mater Private and the Wellington Eye Clinic.

Has anyone any experience of these clinics? I'm trying to decide which one to get it done in.

    Thanks

If it doesnt cost too much you could get assessments in both, then go with the one with the best vibes.

From what I have heard they are both good clinics so there shouldnt be too much difference.

Was assessed for Laser Eye Surgery in both places, went with the Wellington just because I was able to find out more information about them. Was treated well in both.

Apart from the professional considerations you might have, think about a practical consideration, which is closer to your home?

While I am happy with the treatment I received (and continue to receive) in the Wellington, it's a heck of a trek (cheap poetry :))) from Drogheda to Sandyford, especially if I'm unable to drive following a check up (dilating drops).

    Just a thought!
