    Bump.

Sorry if I appeared to assume people would have the midweek free for a spin. Would like to get out myself as weekend might be a non-runner for me.

Would love to go,looks like it will be a nice day.But there's somewhere else I have to be between eight and four thirty :D.
Maybe do the reverse of Monday's spin?

Yeah maybe, if the sun is out the lakes will look pretty cool at this time of year. 18 degrees they,re saying.

I was very enthusiastic about this yesterday.

However, my bones don't seem able to cope with the knocks and bumps of my not-so-epic monday mountain bike session. I was a bit sore cycling home today and while I am free, I don't know if I would be able for an "epic".

I can go out tomorrow for a night spin starting 4:30- I think ROK_ON or someone was mooting this?

What would you define as EPIC Dirk? 100km+?

Hmm...in my current state I'd say 80km, but don't pick a route to suit me. I can head out and turn back at some point. Of course, if there is no one else then I'm not going to be a jerk and leave another rider on their own, just don't expect an amazing pace.

I am hoping to head out tomorrow evening, but have a meeting in work scheduled from 3 to 6..

It maybe more realistic for me to head out Thursday, but will let you know.

Sorry to the Voodoo man, events conspired against me. A few laps of the park will have to do in the afternoon. Might be out if spin is organised at the weekend.

Given the weather, any takers for a spin this evening. Say DUndrum 6.30/6.45 ish. No route in mind but would like to do 2 hours or so if possible. I have two Finix's and am raring to use them.

The weather is very good, I'd be on for that. Will already be up the mountains though, could meet up there somewhere depending on what route you had planned. Viewing point maybe- might suit people coming from other places better?

I was out at lunch to Enniskerry and it was almost like summer, fair few other cyclists out.

How about the following (halfway between Dundrum and Viewpoint).

Jonny Foxes cross road at 7pm? If I get stuck in a meeting, I have your number and will text you. But am planning on trying to get out as early as I can.
If I dont get stuck and get out early, I will txt you to arrange an earlier meet on your route given that you will already be on the road.

Johnny Foxes crossroad at 7 is fine, see you then.

Thanks to Niceonetom for joining in for a few laps in the park. Shocking language to that lady though in the Galaxy.:D

Edit, Did you Dirkvoodoo make it out in the end?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,505 ✭✭✭✭DirkVoodoo

Alas, I did not. Never rent Uncharted 2 for the PS3, it consumes a lot of time!

Yeah, I was shocked and appalled.

Nice evening for a spin but as the clouds left us it actually got a bit cold up the mountains! Good amount of moonlight and the air was pretty still which was a nice change.

Thanks to blorg for company. I have to say that I am still unnerved about cycling out the country in the dark. Nice night but will take getting used to.

Come on, spill the beans. What happened?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,995 ✭✭✭✭blorg

We went for a bike ride in the dark. The end. Seriously, nothing happened of any note other than it getting a bit chilly.
