    Hi folks,

Do you guys know of any irish half ironmans with the swim in lakes or rivers etc? I get very panicky in the sea. Think its my childhood phobia of jellyfish! Might try an tackle one next year.

    Thanks. :)

I'd say tackle the problem rather than try to avoid it - i've never encountered a jelly fish while swimming in the sea. If youre looking for a good half with a lake swim there are plenty in UK e.g, the cowman in Milton Keyes - good race, doof atmosphere doesn't get booked out too quick and reasonably accessible.

    Cheers guys.

I might brave the sea swim early next year.
