Cant Install / Uninstall

    Hi all

    I have just managed to get my PC back on track after a system reset and some messing about with boot ups etc. Anyway I can now get to the desktop but a new problem has arose from nowhere, never happened before.

    I cannot install / uninstall anything at all ! I tried to uninstall the Norton Trial anti virus and it threw a wobbler!

    I am slowly losing my patience with this HP blankety blank!!

    Any ideas folks?
