    . Hello Folks

How can I possibly answer this question..?!

"Please give a brief example of when you acted as a leader of a group of people, set direction for them, gained their commitment and led them to achieve outstanding results"

what a question for a grad student...

have you ever been involved in a sport, a charity event, a car breakdown, a house flood, a wedding, a funeral? anything that involved getting a group of people all working to a common goal and getting it done? Mentored undergrads via tutotials, turned some of them around? Be creative, up to and including flat out lying.

You must have done some group projects in college? Say you were group leader, and talk about the leadership skills you used. Also any problems you encountered and overcame.

    hmmm

seems a lot of bluff to answer this q...!!

i did a project alright, but have that mentioned in the previous question.

funeral, alright, but organising a wake seems far etched...!!

any other ones, was going to say leading a troupe in wilsons prom in australia on a hiking expidition, everything from organising car hire and leaving stones to help a group that went astray....:rolleyes:

at the end it says that all the stuff you say is true , else you can kiss your job good bye. basically..

I have thought of this, which is actually true..

whats the consensus, is it too 'weak.' ? as I have no idea what else to put down.

"for my brother’s wedding, I organised the church event for my mom and a select group of friends, as it was a private function.

My brother himself and the bride went to the ceremony their own way. I set out a Itinerary for getting to the church in time, as well as meeting with the priests before hand to go over the formalities in the week leading up to the big event, so we all knew what was expected of us on the day, regarding readings, and appropriate dress wear.

I also acted as camera man at the church and my work was praised afterwards by the bride.

I drove our group to the church on the day of the wedding, and it went very smooth. I also had function rooms booked in advance for the hotel afterwards.

All in all, it turned out to be a very enjoyable day."
