Overreacting?

This proably sounds silly but its something thats been nagging me for a while, been going out with my girlfriend for almost 2 years, its going great aside from two things, the first is that we never go out together, the last time we were both in a pub together was over a year ago, not counting going for dinner and having a drink after on our own, I meant in a social, friends along night out way.

We both go out regularly, me not so much as my friends all have different work patterns and its hard to get a few of us together, she goes out pretty much every weekend with her friends which is fine by me, have no issue with that at all. But what bugs me is that she always tells me the next day how much she missed me and would have loved if I was there....yet never invites me? Theres been plenty of nights where I wasnt doing anything and she knew that yet I never, ever get invited out, and its not like they're strictly girls nights as her friends bring their boyfriends along as well. I did say to her once if she missed me all she hasd to do was ask and I would have come out, I live in town so every pub is a few mins walk away, she does tend to go to trendy, busy superpub type places which I normally wouldnt go to but it wouldnt bother me where we were.

The last time we were all out in a club we had a drunken argument so that might be the reason, it was over something so stupid I cant even remember what it was and we made up before we even got in a cab home, maybe she thinks we'll be one of those "always argues when we have a few drinks" couples, of which I know a few and wants to keep our social lives seperate? any ideas?

The other thing is that when she does go out, i never hear from her.She always says she either ran out of battery or "didnt get a chance" to send a text, cmon like how hard is it to send a quick text? only takes a few seconds. I'm not a baby I dont need hourly updates or anything but a quick text to let me know she got home ok is fine by me, once she went out with friends and after an hour I got a frantic phone call from her saying she was feeling really strange, I picked her up outside a pub and her drink had been spiked with something as when i was driving her home she kept falling asleep and slurring her words, way more than any amount of drink she could have drank in less than an hour would have done to her, I had to carry her into her house and she didnt feel right for days afterwards so naturally I get a bit concerned if I dont hear from her all night if shes out. I dont expect her to be sat there texting me as I dont like it when couples cant cut the umbilical for a night either but a simple "got hom ok, had fun, talk soon" type text isnt too much to ask is it? I'd always let her know i was alright or ask her how her evening is going when I'm out, or am I just overreacting?

Just talk to her over a cuppa sometime she's not recovering from a night out or wrecked. Maybe suggest meeting up with her & her friends later in a night out with some of your friends, you might all have a great time.

Try to take the situation as lightly as possible, doing that can only make the whole thing less of a worry for you.

It can be a hurtful situation but the less you let it weigh on you the less negative an impact it will have.
