laptop problem

    I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, I got it Christmas 2007. Had a few problems with it, I had to re-install vista twice because of problems I had with it. Then about 2months ago I went to switch it on and I got the blue screen and it was stuck on it, I tried re-starting it with the disk again but it just went to blue screen again, it couldnt continue.. so I said I would leave the laptop for awhile because I did use it alot. 2weeks after I turned it on and nothing really happened except it stayed on for about 30seconds and then switched off.. :( Im presuming its gone :( cant really afford to get a new laptop at the moment so if anyone has any ideas of what could be wrong? I miss All my pictures and music!!! thanks

    Hiya,

    Was there any error messages printed? When the blue screen was displayed?
    If you could note them down if it happens again and post here.

    i would phone dell. you have life time telephone support on your machine even if it is out of warranty.
