    is this feature working for anybody at the moment. cause it aint working for me.

    What are you expecting it to do? AFAIK from reading other forums it's not to protect the entry from being deleted manually as you might think, but to protect it from auto-deletion (oldest recording first) when the disk fills up, which is an option you can enable in the settings menu.
