    So annoyed!
Installer booked today to upgrade me
to sky hd. Phoned the installation company this morning and was told it would be between 3 and 6pm. Phoned them again at 5.50 to see what the story was and no answer. Grr! Phoned sky and they also couldn't get through to the installation company

Is this a common occurrence? I'm in Meath, near Drogheda.

What was the weather conditions in your area like today. Maybe the installer finished early because of the winds but saying that he should have phoned you either way.
who did you book your upgrade with

It's not really, normally they're good enough.

I don't know what the weather was like up there today but one of our vans was way behind on jobs today in Wexford because of weather.

Hopefully they'll contact you in the next day or two :)

Sorry to hear that your engineer failed to turn up. I too was held back by the extremely bad weather today and was working from Nenagh in Co Tipp to Newcastlewest in co limerick and there was no let up in the weather all day so I didnt get everything I had planned to do due to dangerous weather conditions especially strong winds but he should have at lease contacted you to apologise and maybe might still....

Weather was ok, light rain all afternoon, but not windy. Booked through sky directly, who use Finlay communications in this area.

I've no problem with someone running late, or if the weathers too bad and it wouldn't be safe, but at least they could give me a bloody phone call as a courtesy!

Seen as you Booked through sky directly then the sub contractor should have phoned you between 8 and 9 am with an ETA. You were given a job referance number give the Finlays crowd a call on tuesday and demand your job done ASAP

Yeah, I phoned them this morning at 9.30 as I hadn't heard from them, and was told that the engineer would be there between 3pm and 6pm.

Will be phoning them Monday morning! I'm sooooo annoyed. Was really looking forward to Liverpool Man U tomorrow in glorious HD :-(

Glad that this isn't a widespread issue anyway. Thanks all!

I dont think our bank holidays are the same as in the UK are they? Sky in the Uk may very well be open Monday, but they wont be able to contact Finlays.
