    Hi all,

Just giving a heads up. We were planning to have this in November but didn't want to clash with the BJJ Open which a lot of our club will be competing in as well.

The format of this tournament will be slightly different than the last one with each division's preliminary matches being fought off on the matted areas, and then the final of each division taking place in our matted boxing ring after all of the other matches have been run. This will give all the finalists a break so that they can put on a good show for the final.

Further details, times etc. to follow.

im new to this but surely fighting in a ring will require a differant strategy to fighting on the mat? Is this fair?
Maybe this is a total newbee question to ask!:o

Well it is a big ring so I doubt there'll be any change in strategy but even supposing there was, it would only be unfair if one guy got to fight in the ring and the other the mat. In other words, same for both fighters.

The weight categories will probably be as per the last time but I'll confirm soon.
