Air Con problem

Looking for help with my air con system. When the car is started from cold it takes about 3 or 4 minutes for the air con to kick in. During the day when the car has been in use, it kicks in much quicker. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

By kick in, do you mean for you to start seeing an effect or for the light to come on? Mine starts working pretty much immediately either way.

By kicking in , i mean for it to start to take effect, the light is on.

mine usually takes about a minute before its clearing the windscreen effectively after starting from cold. Maybe it could be low on gas making it less effective. A re-gas might be worth looking into
