so we all know when your bitten by a zombie you turn into a zombie!!!

but do zombies come out of the ground like in some movies!!

because if this is the case then we truly are in deep sh1t as the island will be fukcing full of the moaning pr1cks!! because everyone who has been buried in Ireland over the last couple of hundred years will be getting out of the ground!

and if we have loadsa rotting corpses shambling around the diseases will probably kill us long before they do!!!

That's a tough one to call. I mean are we talking Return of the Living Dead, or Zombi zombies that do come out of graves, or are we talking the modern day zombies that don't?

I've always had a fear that it will be the grave zombies ... and living so close to Glasnevin cemetary, just how long would it take them to come shambling up my road??

Nothing to fear there, I would suspect. A Zed will in large have the same capablities as the living. Put a live person in a box and cover them with a couple of tonne of earth, they ain't getting out.

People who are in the ground a long time would just be dis-jointed bone anyway. Unless the person died while infected, there is little chance they will come back.

yes good point but what were trying to do is distinguish what the z's are capable of, how does the disease spread is it airborne or only through biting!!!

It would take them some time to dig themselves out of the ground and that's considering they have the wherewithal to know how to dig themselves out.

This is really virus Vs supernatural, only the living can be affected by a virus, a dead body buried 6ft under can't get infected unless they where infected when they got buried.

I don't believe in the supernatural so I'm in the virus camp and don't see how this could happen.

In return of the living dead the disease is spread through the opening of a barrel which expels a gas ... and also houses a zombie. This gas is what re-animates corpses and also if you brethe it in directly yourself you will eventually turn also. The people in the movie burn a zombie in a cremation chamber and the smoke which comes out goes into the atmosphere and comes down in a torent of rain ... which soaks into the earth and into coffins of the nearby graveyard thereby contaminating the buried dead.

It has to be said though that while I agree that a zombie has to actually break out of the coffin and climb through the earth to escape, if that coffin is rotted and the ground covering it is pretty much soaked then it makes escape a lot easier. I'm sure that which zombies did manage to get out though would be in pretty bad shape though.

Also, are we talking the walking dead or the running dead?

definately walking well shambling really!

sprinters are more mutated than actual zombies!!!
