Phone deciding to Unlock itself! Dear God..

Does this happen to anyone else?
I've got a touchscreen phone, and its normally a right pain to unlock when I want to use it.

Just took it out my pocket, "Call time is empty. Please top-up"... WTF? I still had a quid left on it last night.

Then I looked at dialled calls... two to a good mate.. one lasting 53 seconds, the other, 2mins 33 secs. Sent from inside my pocket while I was singing - I don't sing in front of people, it's my one private thing.. I'm amazingly embarrassed now. :o 2mins 33.. he'd have heard a full song ffs!

And I've lost a quid of credit. :(

    Why are phones retarded?

    Call a locksmith

I did the same thing a few years ago. Rang a client and left a message on their machine, thought I'd hung up.

They were treated to around 2 min of me singing "Wonderwall" at the end of the message. :o

OP if you have an LG phone then there's your problem. I have one and they are the worst excuse of a phone ever. Unlocks too easily and loves to ring people by itself.

LG will just call it "the phone with a mind of it's own"

Nope, Samsung Tocco Lite... ironically, I got it over the LG Cookie because I'd heard of that unlocking itself :/:(

    Ah that's fantastic :pac:

At least yours was a popular song, I'm guessing he either heard Rocky Road to Dublin or 'When The Boys Come Rolling Home' - he hates Irish music aswell :o

I didn't really want to bring this up but there's also footage of you dancing with some of your clients...

Sorry for showing this Zohan :(

It doesn't just unlock itself it also ruins your entire life. It just won't be happy until you're on your knees begging for mercy as your social status hits an all time shattering new low as your friends despise you for constantly ringing them, and when you try to explain that "the phone did it", they call you crazy and men in white coats drag you away while you kick and scream. And all the while the LG Cookie phone sits there laughing and laughing and rings your ex girlfriend to make plans for sex.

Having said that it's a cheap enough phone.

Touchscreen phones are gay, and this should be in the mobile forum or something

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,691 ✭✭✭Lia_lia

I bloody hate that phone. I have it too. What I really hate is when you are in bed texting but you are holding the phone kinda sideways so the stupid qwerty keypad comes up and you can't get rid of it. Or can you? Help me!

Never had a problem with the unlocking though. It does freeze when the camera comes on sometimes.

I know that's a pain. I don't think you can fully disable it although having said that I've never tried. Just hold it normally and you'll go back to the normal way. Holding it sideways will always bring the keyboard up.

Which phone have you got - the Cookie or Tocco? I can't keep up.

    They're basically the same anyway.

The Qwerty keyboard can be really annoying sometimes, but useful when you're trying to reply quickly.. can't see how to turn it off though.

And the Tocco's got an amazingly shit camera

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,062 ✭✭✭DancingQueen:)

Yup i have it too, hate when the message screen turns to the side! And i ring people all the time by accident, normally not when i sing but i have rang people i normally wouldn't talk to and have had akward conversations the next day because of it :o
Don't particularly like the background either the way you can only have a third of a picture? a phone's a phone though

Yea, I've been reading about it... It's just an iphone but with different icons. It's pretty gay.

    The Tocco.

Yeah I used the camera once I think. Other times I accidentally hit the camera button on the side of the phone. And what's the craic with resizing photos for your wallpaper? The always turn out huge! I want my sh*tty Sony phone back.

Mobile phone manufacturers come up with the worst names for sh*t technology. They should just be blunt and tell it like it is.

"Buy the new LG 'this phone will be the bane of your existance as you struggle to actually work this piece of sh*t phone that we're gonna charge you €250 for' Cookie."

And a Twix bar would cost you just 40p. Happier, more simple times.

I always have a fake number first in the phonebook cause on my old phone if you forgot to lock it, it'd hit the middle button, which opened the menu, then opened the phonebook, then dialed the first number.

Well this mate's called Danny, so he's not first in the phonebook.. I think it rang the last number dialled.
He went to Spain this morning.. trust me to call the one person out of the country to cost me a fortune :(

I was on the phone to vodafone before, and at the end of the call, the girl thought she had disconnected, and started singing the pussycat dolls

We put her on speaker, and when she was mid song, we interupted her saying we wanted to speak to her supervisor.

she hung up after shouting "oh jesus fuck!"

was walking around this week when i heard a tune playing on my phone, which was in my pocket, checked it and discovered that my lg ku990 had downloaded a song from 3 and paid €1.49 for the privilege.
just worried now that it might order a foreign bride.
