    Hello,
I'm planning to start stock trading in the near future, i'm subscribed to a couple of newsletters and slowly gathering info day by day, but i'd like to do some proper research before i dip my toes in the trading world with my own money, could anyone recommend a suitable book on the subject for a novice thats worth reading?

    Thanks in advance

A random walk down wall street by Burton Malkiel was good for me. Also try the investors chronicle, a weekly magazine and the fool.com is always insightful.

    Best of luck with it.
