Advise for buying cars

My Sister has a 00 Focus and she wants to upgrade it to an 04 model while my Mother wants to buy a used car. My Father wants to give the Focus to my Mother, pay my sister for it and let her buy a newer car.
I want my Mother to get an 03/04 Fiesta, trade in my Sisters car for a newer model. If my Mother was to keep my Sisters car I cant see it being replaced for a good 10 years.

Anyone have any advise on this, is my Father right in keeping the car or should we trade in the car and get two new (used) cars?

Also should we wait till after January as the cars will become cheaper because of their reg? or is that bull?

if your sisters car is running well it would be the best option for your sister to buy as a cash buyer. If your mother and father are happy with that then it sounds like it'd be the smart option. Your mother can save her money and change a few years earlier or cover any repairs then. Price around a few cars and see what kind deals they get all the same

A '00 Focus will probably give a bit of trouble. In 5-10 years it'll most more than it's worth in repairs. They're good cars but it would be more cost effective to buy a newer Fiesta.

whatever you do, steer clear (its a driving pun) of the ford focus. I wouldnt reccomend it at all.
