Ok, so when you cross the finish line on monday you will have completed a monumental goal and will be deserving of praise. You will come on here on monday aftermoon and tuesday to re-tell the ups and down of your race.... but I want to SEE something far more interesting from the post race analysis....

When you cross the finish line, and first get to take off your shoes and socks, take a photo of what first greets you and post it on this tread. No, I don't have a foot fettish... but you always hear stories of lost toe nails and huge blisters, but after a day or so the evidence is gone for ever and only described in words... and a picture is far more descriptive. This is an invitation to promote your pain and make us all cringe. If you wish to remain anonamus, just PM them to me, and I will post them protecting your identity.

This tread will also server as a warning to future marathoners to lube up, wear good fitting shoes, and proper socks.

Good luck to all taking part. Forecast is for good weather, so have a great day.

    Domer

Usually I have blood soaked socks, and blisters galore... but alas yesterday I was completely blister free. Sorry to disappoint!

I had four neat little blisters afterwards, but failed to take an effective photo. Burst 'em all last night too, so nothing to see here. Move along.. :)

Toes and feet all intact. My main ache today is under the arms where my long sleeved top rubbed me raw and I'd forgotten the vaseline. Ouch.
