Looks like Doyle is playing on the left of a 4-5-1. Not sure about that.

Anyone watching Spurs-Stoke on Setanta? What's the story with the music blaring away?

EDIT: Just stopped but was it the stadium sound system or something in the crowd or outside the ground or what?

what a brilliant substitution by Pulis.

whelan comes on, injures Spurs' best player today, leaving them with 10 men in the process, then he scores a goal.

    Epic!

As we all know, there is no football played outside of the Premier League.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

One of those days for Spurs. The better team, had a shot off the post, off the line, plenty of chances, just couldn't convert. Stoke have one shot on target in the 2nd half and score from it, after Lennon goes off injured. Gutted, but these things happen. The important thing is how the team responds as it's Arsenal away next (in the league).

Jaysus, Everton's bench is a serious collection of no-namers -

Subs: Nash, Coleman, Duffy, Agard, Baxter, Wallace, Akpan.

Bolton should be 2 up already

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

    1-0 Bolton

    Everton all over the shop

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Man City: Given, Richards, Toure, Lescott, Bridge, De Jong, Barry, Petrov, Bellamy, Adebayor, Tevez.
Subs: Taylor, Johnson, Ireland, Wright-Phillips, Sylvinho, Kompany, Weiss.

Fulham: Schwarzer, Pantsil, Hangeland, Hughes, Kelly, Duff, Greening, Baird, Dempsey, Kamara, Zamora.
Subs: Zuberbuhler, Seol, Nevland, Gera, Riise, Eddie Johnson, Smalling.

No SWP or Ireland in the starting XI

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 850 ✭✭✭Instant Karma

I really cannot understand why Hughes will not start Ireland. I did see your post on the locked thread Xavi, but this is a home game and would suit Ireland down to the ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

We're playing Tevez, Adebayor, Bellamy and Petrov. With 4 attack minded players like that you need to have some sort of defensive midfielder and that's De Jong.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 850 ✭✭✭Instant Karma

I don't know, I think for this particular game Ireland would have been a better bet than Tevez.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Tevez is playing really well in fairness to him.

Micah just had a goal disallowed.

    Worst. Miss. Ever.

Bobby Zamora blazes over from 5 yards with an empty net in front of him. Unbelievable.

"When the ball hits your head and you're set in Row Z it's Zamora"

sounds like we're playing a blinder
