daft punk are set to play the o2 dublin in august 5 2010 it should be good any thoughts on who will support ??

no probs peoples ha ye justice are touring with them in america so idnt knw weather theyl support them here or not :S

i seen this on last.fm and it is official because they have sets dates for their world wide tour for 2010 ,they were origionally suppose to tour in 2009 but their was a scam in ticket sales in china or sumting i read it in a official report on the net

Last.fm is not a reliable source for concerts which have yet to be announced officially. Anyone could have stuck those dates up there.

Seems like bs, the touring itinerary just doesn't look plausible.

I doubt the credibility of those dates.....BUT they are doing the score to Tron Legacy which comes out Fall 2010 and I know the producer or someone at Disney claimed they were gonna do a Tron themed tour.

yes and in the article i was reading they said the tour was in support of the score for the tron legacy film and that film comes out around febuary or march maybe last.fm isnt right about these dates but in the past for me any dates that were up where correct dates so i dont know,to me the dates do seem real tho and the daft punk site isnt up yet i dont tink (im gettin on to it but ders no menu) so until dats up den we'l know for sure fingers crossed it is

Afaik Tron is out December 2010 so it might be around then or 2011 when we see the next Daft Punk tour.

I wouldn't get to excited, could well be another hoax like the show in China that people bought tickets for and it never happened.

Those date have been doing the rounds on a few forums lately, and it's looking like they're fake (although there's been no official denials like there was for the China date..). The Yankee stadium doesn't host concerts apparently, the Mancherster stadium probably wouldn't allow a concert on a Saturday during football season, and also it's not likely that they'd ship rigs from Europe to US for one date.

Still, I'd love if it was true!

Those dates have yet to materialise so consider them false. A bizarre hodge-podge of indoor venues and stadiums in Europe, and why would they opt to play outdoors in Australia during their Winter?

That's what a DJ does though, it's all from recordings :rolleyes: I heard several bootlegs of the shows on their last tour and some of the stuff would come in at different times depending on the show. So it was done live.

Also, they are making a new album- the score to Tron Legacy :pac:

nah its actually circulating around radio and internet that a"source close to the band" leaked the inof about them setting dates.
apparently in an interview with their former manager he said they were recording a new album(probably refering to the tron soundtrack) and would be touring in either 2010/2011 so its not really that big aa surprise.


but still cant wait 4 them 2 announce....guess all we can do is wait

But Daft Punk hardly ever tour! What's changed that people are believing these rumours and think that they'll tour next year? If their past is any indication, it could be years before they tour again.

Because they will have a new album to support? They've already stated that a tour will follow in 2010 or 2011, after a previous hoax regarding dates in China.

New album? I thought all they've done recently is the music for tron?

Still though new album or not, I wouldnt trust anything until it's confirmed officially...it's not like they tour very often. I'd probably believe they'll tour in 2011 cause it must take some time to produce remixes for the tour.

I remember seeing this rumor doing the rounds a few weeks ago, and Busy P (their ex-manager) took the time to specifically say in his blog that Daft Punk had no plans to tour in the near future so unfortunately it's probably not true.

no it isnt they scored the "tron legacy" alnum for the film due out a little later this year.....whats rumour is the tour

There were also rumours of a fully new album, not a film score, but those rumours aren't true, it's just the tron legacy album.

Hey guys, i dont know if this is old news or what, and I know a lot of people (including myself ) were hoping to see Daft Punk at Oxegen this year. But appaently, it wont be long after Oxegen that we will get to see them. They are rumoured to be playin the O2 in Dublin on the 5th of August.

This seems to be on a number of sites but nothing official yet. But i really hope its true.
