I don't think it will. I just about got a Sony 32' flatscreen into mine a few years ago. However the box was quite big, even still I doubt taking it out of the box will help.

Take it out of the box and put it on the back seat with all the seat belts around it

I'd still have my doubts. Unless your Fiesta has a roof rack!
    I had a job fitting a 40" into a Focus last year.

    Why not?

I did this to move my new Panasonic 50" from Belfast to Mullingar in a Lexus GS300. The boot was stuffed full of Ikea flat-pack furniture.

If you're moving something like a big plasma ideally it would still be in its packaging and on its back.

Seatbelts wrapped around it could cause create pressure on the display and result in damage.

I defo wouldnt risk my tv that way.

Squeezed my 42" into my e39 a few years back. Not a chance of it going in the boot. A 50" probably wont fit across the back seats.

    ...50" flatscreen....

Just thought about it, must be a big room it is going into! Fair play! Recommeded viewing positions are between 100 inches & 250 inches! (between 8ft & 21ft)

When I bought my 50 inch,it fitted into my car no problem ;)

I picked up my philips 42" from Philips store in Dublin in my renault megane cabriolet. Luckily it was nice day so I had the roof down or it wouldn't have fitted. It stuck out on one side slightly and I had two taxi drivers commenting
about gettin it robbed during the journey home. One of them might even have bought one as he seemed impressed with the price

Why not pay to have it delivered?

thanks lads, got it in the fiesta with a bit of a laugh.
its probably oversized for the room its in but i dont really care :)
i got it as a warranty replacement for a failed 37" so didnt really want to say no!
