Hi, I'm looking for advice on the tax implacations of buying a 2nd home. I bought a house 3 and a half years ago and paid 3% stamp duty at the time. I am now planning on buying a house with my fiance. Does anyone know if I will have to pay some sort of extra stamp duty penalty on the original house as it will no longer be my primary residence?
