after watching David McWilliams the other night it go me thinking...do you thing the late 20th century early 21th century was the high point of existence and now we are in decline as the oil runs out

    or

do you think as soon as we get the electric car sorted out and a new sort of clean cheap power we'll all be fine

i going to put up a pole and the options are

yes we at the high point of civilization and thing are never going to be the same in the future

no the electric car will save up

or the future is going to be like mad max there no hope for us

Switch to modern nuclear power I say. Imagine how futuristic and stylish everything will be if it's nuclear powered.

    I'm amazingly confused.

Anyway, the world's going to end in 2012 so we're grand for now

we (ireland) would be in a great position if we tapped into the wind and wave power right on our doorstep

The ESB has plans for Ireland to be sufficient on renewable energy in less than 10 years, so we're grand for electricity.

All of the technology exists, it just hasn't been applied yet.

We'll probably just let some companies come in and take it for cheapsies instead.

    Good old Ireland.

Pighead has no idea what a paradigm is so he has nothing of value to contribute to this thread. Gonna just agree with admiralofthefleets thoughts.

He got a couple of thanks so he must know what he's talking about.
It's all about the wind and water folks.

When man first set on the moon, Pan Am airlines began to take reservations for the first trips to the moon (and it's moonbases). My parents got reservations in our family name.

.....basically what I am saying is I'm all set

......the rest of you are all ****ed.
