Hello, I'm inquiring on behalf of a friend. She is about to graduate with a masters in Law and has heard that the courts offer an internship programme. Has anyone heard about this?

Yes, I am not sure how much longer that will be in place, given the current economic climate.

There are different types of internships, two to be precise. Judicial Researchers and Judicial Assistants (unless they've merged). The conditions are excellent and the exposure to the courts is fantastic. Salary-wise they are also very good. Please note though a thorogh background check is executed, including tax clearance.

If the opportunity arises, I would jump at it, given the time period you describe above.

    Tom

Just had a look, there doesn't seem to be any vacancies...

Can you recommend any other places that she could try? I understand that things are tight everywhere at the moment, but I'm trying to help her find new avenues.
